Well where do I start?
I want to apologize to my friends and prospecting readers. I lost my desire for color in 2013. Got so busy chasing the "American Dream" I neglected things until I lost them. But I have been thinking about getting off my duff and getting out on the creek again. Just haven't had much time to get things done. So many projects on my plate.
I am setting here tonight looking at about 13 dwt. of gold in a vial. Shaking it, flashing it in the light. I miss digging for it. Once I get settled in my new place I'll get out and find some new places to go. My new home has a pond with a creek running in and out of it. I haven't gotten down and looked for anything but I have seen a lot of tracks, Fishers, Fox and Muskrats mostly.
I want to get permission to look on my neighbors property. He has about 50 meters of creek from our pond, its a clay/gravel bottom located in north eastern Morgan county. Lots of hills around here but not like Morgan-Monroe SF. I sold off most of my power equipment so I'm limited in my collection and processing. Pans, classifiers and a small sluice box. When you ask a prospective land owner if you can dredge for minerals, they give you a strange look and either walk away or think immediately of some big mining operation.
Trying not to put all my rocks in one basket but planning a trip to NC for next spring. Want to try Mineral and Gem hunting in central NC. Maybe make it a honeymoon trip too if all goes as planned <wink>. Haven't even suggested it to my gal yet but since we are living together its the next step... at least in my line of thought.
I hope that everyone has a good weekend and stays safe.
